Covid-19 Relief

Covid relief has not really reached the rural parts of the country. In the presence of better road connectivity and prevalence of digital technologies, rural India has not caught on the fight against Covid-19. With basic health infrastructure and lower levels of awareness, the preparedness for the pandemic is not adequate enough in the ground level. Millions of Indians living in the rural areas are at great risk of contracting the corona virus because of lack of awareness and their poor living conditions. On top of this, the economic shutdown is impending loss of livelihoods, increased poverty and malnutrition, urban displacement of daily wagers and migrant labourers. Santhi Welfare Association proposes the following relief action plan in wake of COVID-19 in the focussed hotspots of Godavari district.

VIT, Chennai campus students have done applauded job by spotting the few NGOs and conducting quiz and interactions programs. We Santhi Welfare Association (Mother teresa home ) are proud to be part of it and constantly working with other colleges to put forward such programs. And we couldn't stop to bow to students for their induction kits. Here we come forward to associate with youth who are front face of the country to deliver such activities. Through these activities the students can grasp the concepts easily. The children are also made to perform art and craft activities like drawing, painting, origami, clay modelling, structure making out of glass etc. This helps in developing the fine motor activities of the children. Activity based games are also played during the extra-curricular session which allows all the students to participate and engage in the activities and learning. It is seen that such activities are improving the bonding, learning, and experiencing a new way of education among all the students.
